Ryan Aurelio McDonald

Ryan focuses primarily on the healthcare & life sciences sector.

Prior to Summit, Ryan worked on the healthcare team at Norwest Venture Partners for over a decade. His previous investments include American Endovascular & Amputation Prevention, Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers (acquired by TPG), Crossover Health (acquired by Gurnet Point Capital), Elligo Health Research, iCardiac (acquired by ERT), Kyo (formerly Gateway Learning Group), Mindful Health Solutions, Onsite Dental and Scratch Financial (Scratchpay). In addition to his work in healthcare, Ryan spearheaded Norwest's investing efforts in Latin America.

Previously, Ryan held roles in the Leveraged Finance Groups at Bank of America and Stifel Nicolaus. Earlier in his career, Ryan served as President and co-founder of a dietary supplement company.

Ryan was raised in Mexico City and holds a BS in business management, with a concentration in economics, from Babson College.
